Living the Questions is a publisher and distributor of a growing catalog of curriculum offering practical tools to bring together, equip, and re-educate thinking, progressively-minded Christians.

With nearly a dozen titles in use by nearly 5000 churches and other groups across the U.S., Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand (as well as several other countries), LtQ is helping people wrestle with basic theological and spiritual questions often avoided by the institutional Church.

“I can’t recommend the Living the Questions material enough. It’s a fantastic resource that features some of the best biblical and theological thinkers in the world today — intellectually satisfying with a practical justice orientation.”

Captain Jason Davies-Kildea, Salvation Army; Brunswick, Victoria, Australia

“Living the Questions is the most extraordinary adult education material I have ever used. Life changing – personally and collectively! Thank you and may you never stop putting out such marvelous and deeply important products.”

Rev. John White, First Cong. UCC, Dudley, MA

“I have been a pastor for 16 years and this is by far the very best study I have ever participated in.”

Rev. Teri Johnson, Brookings First UMC, Brookings, SD

“I’ve been a Resource Center Director for 17 years, and I can honestly say Living the Questions has generated more excitement than any other resource.”

Mary Rockwell, Endicott, NY

“This is the very best study we have ever done at our church.”

Rev. Bonnie Frost, Coral Isles Church, Tavernier, FL

“We have had several students comment that they have waited 50 years for something like this since they had felt like heretics when they went to church. It has opened the eyes of many in our church. Thanks.”

William Hicks-Caskey, St. Marks UMC, Murfreesboro, TN

“This is the most greatly appreciated video series I could have imagined someone could’ve created at this time. I’ve been teaching Borg and Spong for years – but to have this series with their colleagues as well dealing with the core topics – profound! and life-changing! I can imagine – you know the looks on people’s faces after some of the stories and the tears that flow! I am so thankful to have the privilege of walking with people through the “classes” and witnessing how they very eagerly choose to go deeper in their faith and want others to experience it as well.”

Rev. Lee Anne Ireland, Orange Congregational Church, Orange, CT

  1. Did you people cop “Living the question” from Werner Erhard, the founder of the est training, the precursor to The Landmark Forum? I don’t know, really. If you want to restructure Christianity shouldn’t you look towards Judaism. I mean look deeply. If just want to eschew the fissures in Christianity you will end up at the same place down the line. We don’t need a new religion and the human condition is immutable. Maybe Judaism has more utility than you apprehend. Living laws interpreted by men so that the dichotomy between self interest and altruism can negotiated, In other words, how men may live ethically within the brutal contingencies of survival.

  2. Thank you! I am an author and progressive wiho may be about to tattoo Live the Question on her arm. Why? Because I continuoiusly rush to help, to solve, to create, even after decades of work. This is a legacy issue and legacy issues do deeper than words.
